BLP 7003 are formulated using a blend of super-refined high viscosity index paraffin and synthetic hydrocarbon lubricating base-stocks providing greater overall performance than conventional gear oils: greater thermal stability and oxidation resistance reducing deposit formation: longer oil life allowing extended drain intervals; lower volatility resulting in less oil consumption; greater lubricity; better low temperature fluidity; high viscosity index helping to keep viscosity stable over a wide range of temperatures. There is protection against oil thickening (viscosity increase) and deterioration which leads to the formation of acidic by-products that cause soft sludge deposits or hard varnish and lacquer coatings to form on metal surfaces. Deposits lead to friction, increased heat and eventual equipment breakdown. The system will be kept clean and free from deposits longer.
